Illegal-ass window tint

No, I'm not planning on tinting the windows...It just seemed an appropriate decor related Archer quote :)

I figured I'd share some of my decor ideas for Krieger here with you all :)
First off, I'm totally getting a fabulous plush green rug.  going for that soft grassy look

The bed is going to be done up in a combination of these fabrics I found on Spoonflower:

And the curtains are going to be this:
I'm going to have log throw pillows:

and fairy lights strung up throghout :)
It'll be my little woodlands oasis! <3

Getting to know you

Hiya!  By some random fluke of code, you've somehow managed to find your way to my little blog.  Welcome!

What you are about to read (until you get bored) is a harrowing tale of a girl, her Van,

And a dream...influenced strongly by the irresistible siren call of pinterest.

This is Krieger.  A 98 ford windstar and retired US postal service van.  Complete with super awesome prisoner transport style cage.

The van is named after my favorite character from the tv show, Archer.  It is perfect because Algernop Krieger is both awesome
 and a little creepy.

Plus, as a postal service van, it has clones.

Anywho, I went camping last weekend, and at the ripe old age of 31, my back and knees have both given out to the point where I can't "rough it" on bed rolls like I used to.  My solution?  Turn Krieger into a kickass camper van!

Unfortunately, all the sites I can find are about Sprinter Vans.

So! I'm going to start documenting all the madness as it unfolds :)

CURRENTLY I'm in the "brainstorm until you have funds" stage of the project ;)
I've got a pinterest board dedicated to the idea, and have found some pretty cool stuff!
https://www.pinterest.com/craftasaurusrex/camper-van-inspiration/

In particular, I'm fond of the idea of a pump sink with "functioning" drain for dishes,
brushing teeth, etc.
And a pull out surface on sliders for my stove
I'm planning to build a sort of stylized "L" Shape with the long arm going down the wall behind the driver's seat, forming a platform bed measuring 6'x2', the short arm running along the back end forming shelves over the foot of the bed, and a kitchen to use while standing outside on the ground, and hooking up the passenger side wall just a bit forming a book shelf.  I've drawn shitty plans in a free blueprint app demonstrating what i mean.  the app is limited, but just pretend that the weird little room with the thick walls and oddly sized windows is really the back of a van with wheel wells represented by odd windows.

Anywho, I'm done with this post for now...stay tuned and I'll share some of the purchases I have in my future for beautifying this puppy.

Thanks for reading!
